Background
Isaiah Salazar serves as an assistant coach at Bear Cave Wrestling, bringing a championship mindset and deep competitive experience to the program. A former Division I wrestler for the University of Minnesota, Isaiah became one of the Gophers’ most decorated student-athletes in recent years. During his collegiate career, he earned honors as a 2024 All-American, Big Ten Champion, Big Ten Medal of Honor recipient, and four-time NCAA qualifier. Known for his consistency, discipline, and leadership, Isaiah ranks among Minnesota’s all-time leaders with 82 career wins and received multiple accolades academically and athletically.

Before competing at the national level, Isaiah was a four-time Colorado state champion at Windsor High School, helping lead his team to multiple state titles while also excelling in football, track, and baseball.

Currently:
Today, alongside coaching, Isaiah works full-time in real estate with C3 Real Estate Solutions. The C3 foundation—Character, Culture, and Commitment—perfectly aligns with Isaiah’s values. His approach to real estate goes far beyond buying and selling homes; it’s about building relationships, earning trust, and helping people truly feel at home. That same heart for connection and purpose carries into his work on and off the mat.

Coaching Philosophy
Isaiah’s mission as a coach is to help athletes grow into complete individuals—driven, disciplined, and grounded both on and off the mat. Having wrestled since the age of five, he’s learned that real success comes from continuous learning, curiosity, and practicing with intent.

He focuses on attention to detail, composure under pressure, and purposeful adjustment, teaching wrestlers to control what they can and approach every challenge with confidence and humility. For Isaiah, wrestling is more than a sport—it’s a vehicle for developing character, resilience, and integrity. His goal is to prepare athletes not just to compete, but to lead meaningful lives built on the same principles that define champions.

Interests
Outside the wrestling room, Isaiah enjoys working in real estate, spending time with family, and exploring the outdoors. He’s passionate about personal growth and leadership, always seeking new ways to serve his community and inspire others to pursue excellence in every area of life.
