Coach Will VomBaur — Assistant Coach, Bear Cave Wrestling

Background

Will VomBaur is an assistant coach at Bear Cave Wrestling Club. A former Division I wrestler at both the United States Air Force Academy and Utah Valley University, Will brings years of competitive experience and a deep understanding of what it takes to perform at an elite level. His blend of athletic, leadership, and business experience gives him a unique approach to athlete development.

Coaching Philosophy

Will believes the most important part of wrestling is being correct—both in assessment and in adjustment. He teaches that hard work and toughness are valuable, but not substitutes for understanding what’s really holding an athlete back. His coaching focuses on self awareness, and improvement through honest evaluation and thoughtful correction. Will’s goal is to help wrestlers think critically, make smarter adjustments, and grow in a sustainable way.

Interests

Outside the wrestling room, Will enjoys building small businesses, learning new skills, and creating new things. He has a deep interest in history and philosophy and often draws lessons from both to shape his approach to coaching and outlook on life.
