Bear Cave Finishes 5-1 at Christmas Clash Duals in Utah

Utah — Bear Cave Wrestling delivered an impressive performance at the Christmas Clash Duals, finishing 5th overall with a 5–1 team record against elite competition from across the region.

What makes this result especially notable is the level of competition. Many teams at the Christmas Clash are “super teams,” built by hand-picking top athletes from multiple clubs. In contrast, Bear Cave competed as a true club team, developed through daily training, shared culture, and long-term commitment in the room.

Dual Results:

  • Win over Idaho

  • Win over Mat Demons

  • Loss to Extreme

  • Win over Black Fox (Colorado rival)

  • Win over Mat Demons (rematch)

The victory over Black Fox was a highlight of the weekend, adding another chapter to one of Colorado’s most competitive rivalries.

Several Bear Cave wrestlers went undefeated throughout the event, anchoring the team’s success:

  • Hudson Bragg

  • Ervin Hoffschneider

  • Traycen Wegele

  • Hayes Ingram

This performance reinforces what Bear Cave Wrestling is built on — development over shortcuts, team over individuals, and consistency over hype. Competing toe-to-toe with super teams and coming away with a top-five finish proves that the Cave system works.
